🚨 VA Scam Alert: They're Lying to Veterans (And Getting Away With It)
This isn’t fear-mongering.
It’s not some internet rumor.
It’s happening. Right now. And if you’re a veteran, you’re being targeted.
📱 Here’s the Scam Text (Real Message. Real Client.)
“Hi Bob, Alex here. We’re partnered with the VA. You’re eligible for a streamline. Appreciate your service. Want cash out or a lower rate?”
Then:
“We’ve been appointed by the VA as part of a special campaign. You qualify for lower rates in the 4–5s. Got five minutes?”
Translation:
They’re banking on you seeing “VA” and trusting it.
They’re faking credibility to get access to your identity, equity, or both.
💀 Let’s Be Clear
There is no “VA partnership.”
There is no “special campaign.”
The VA does not appoint lenders.
You know what this is?
🚩 A scam dressed up in a flag.
🧠 Who’s Behind It?
Good question. We tried to find out:
- No NMLS number.
- No company name.
- No opt-out link (illegal, by the way).
- When we called, we got a script, a shell, and no real answers.
You deserve better than some shadowy sales funnel with government cosplay.
⚠️ Two Likely Culprits
1. Trigger Leads.
You apply for a loan. The credit bureaus sell your data.
Random companies hit you up pretending they’re "here to help."
Sleazy? Yes. Legal? Also yes. 😤
2. AI Gone Rogue.
Some mortgage exec somewhere told ChatGPT to write a high-converting message to veterans.
Now bots are texting you fake authority at scale.
Either way—it's unacceptable.

- If you get a message like this, do NOT respond.
- Screenshot it. Save it.
- Send it to me — I’ll forward it to the right places and keep the heat on.
